  2. 1 · about 8:30am · Kangaroos and beach

    Anglesea

  4. 3 · about 10:20am · Koala spotting

    Kennett River

Wild koalas are often seen in the gum trees along Grey River Road, with king parrots around. Wildlife is wild, so sightings are likely but not guaranteed.

    Apollo Bay

Lunch by the beach (own cost) with halal-friendly options pointed out on the way.

  6. 5 · about 1:30pm · The highlight

    Twelve Apostles

The limestone stacks from the viewing platforms, with time for Dhuhr prayer. We book the group's arrival time. Optional: a scenic helicopter flight, booked directly with 12 Apostles Helicopters.

  7. 6 · about 2:25pm · Upper lookouts

    Loch Ard Gorge

The famous shipwreck gorge from the upper lookouts (the beach steps are closed).

  8. 7 · about 4:25pm · Rest stop

Questions before you book

How many people are on the tour?

At most 11 guests in one vehicle with your driver, so stops are quicker and there is time to look around properly.

How long is the day?

It is a full day of about 12 hours door to door: pickup 6:30–6:50am from three central city points, and back in the city from about 6:40pm, depending on traffic and the Twelve Apostles arrival time. Most coach day tours get back around 8:30pm or later.

Where do you pick up?

Melbourne Central (La Trobe Street entrance) at 6:30am; Federation Square (Russell Street extension, off Flinders Street) at 6:40am; Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street at Collins Street) at 6:50am. Choose your point when you book. Drop-off is at the same three points in reverse order.

How do I book?

Choose your Saturday on the calendar, select adult and child seats and your pickup point, and pay securely by card. Your confirmation arrives by email straight away.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund. Cancellations after that are not refunded. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

What if not enough people book?

The tour runs with at least 6 guests. If a Saturday has fewer, we tell you at least 72 hours before departure and you choose a full refund or another Saturday. If you book later than that, we confirm straight away whether your Saturday is running.

Is the tour Muslim-friendly?

Yes, and everyone is welcome. We stop for Dhuhr at the Twelve Apostles, and you are back in the city before Maghrib with time to pray Asr (October to March). The route is alcohol-free with no winery or brewery stops, and we point out halal-friendly lunch options. Meals are at your own cost and we do not claim halal certification for any venue.

What is the price for children?

Children aged 4 to 12 are A$149. Children under 7 must travel in an approved child restraint, so tell us their ages when you book and we confirm the restraint before the day. Under-4s by request only.

Do I need to book the Twelve Apostles myself?

No. The Twelve Apostles now need an arrival booking, and we make it for the whole group. If an entry fee is introduced, it will be included in the price shown when you book.

Can I add a helicopter flight over the Twelve Apostles?

Yes, as an option. Scenic flights of about 15 minutes leave from a helipad beside the Twelve Apostles car park and are booked and paid directly with 12 Apostles Helicopters (at least 2 people per booking). Tell us your flight time when you book and we plan the stop around it.

Can we book the whole vehicle privately instead?

Yes. A private Great Ocean Road day is from A$999 for up to 4 guests, with the route and timing agreed in your written quote, subject to availability. For a larger group, ask for a written quote.

What should I bring?

A warm layer and a rain jacket (the coast is windy), comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, a prayer mat if you prefer your own, and cash or card for lunch.

Is there a lot of walking?

Short, easy walks of about 10 to 30 minutes on paths and boardwalks. Tell us about any mobility needs when you book.
